Where are we?

The BEST WESTERN QUARTIER LATIN PANTHEON is in the Latin Quarter, student and literary quarter of Paris. The Latin Quarter reaches across the 5th and 6th districts of Paris.This is the student quarter of Paris. The heart of this area is La Sorbonne, the famous Parisian university.  This university was the centre of the events of May, 1968, during the events of students protesting.

  • Museum of Natural History (2-minute walk): this museum, created nearly 4 centuries ago, is dedicated to everything about science. The Museum has a scientific, professional and cultural vocation. It consists of several permanent exhibitions: prehistory, the evolution of man and animals, geology, paleontology, biology and botany are only a few of many subjects to discover and explore. A cultural and very educational visit so as for adults than for children.
  • Sorbonne (10-minute walk): The Sorbonne University, masterpiece of Parisian architecture, was built in the middle 18th century. Famous people have passed through there during the centuries such as Rabelais, the Cardinal de Richelieu or Marie Curie. Today, it is among the most important French universities. More recently, Sorbonne was at the origin of the events of protest of the students in May, 1968. A place loaded with history.
  • The Pantheon (10-minute walk): This monument, built at of the end of the 18th century, is majestic and incredibly Parisian. Famous for its dome, it is dedicated to the ashes of the famous French people who participated and marked the history of France: writers, scientists, politicians… Within the crypt you can also see the tombs of Voltaire, Rousseau, Victor Hugo or Pierre and Marie Curie.

  • By RER/Métro: Take RER B from airport to “Saint Michel-Notre Dame” station, then take the metro line 10 to Jussieu station. It takes about 40 minutes.
  • By Bus: Take Bus “RoissyBus” to Opera. It leaves terminals every 15 minutes between 6h and 19h and every 20 minutes between 19h and 23h.  When you arrive at Opera, take metro line 7 to Place Monge station. It takes about 45 minutes.
  • By Taxi: The average price for a taxi from the airport is 60€.
